St. Zavtrak et Iv. Volkov, SASERS (SOUND-AMPLIFICATION BY STIMULATED-EMISSION OF RADIATION) IN THE NONLINEAR OPERATING REGIME WITH VARIOUS EMITTERS, Technical physics, 42(7), 1997, pp. 793-796
The operation of a saser (sound amplification by stimulated emission o
f radiation) in the nonlinear regime is considered. A liquid with gas
bubbles is chosen as the active medium. Pumping is effected by a varia
ble electric field. The processes leading to amplification of the acti
ve mode in a flat cavity are investigated analytically for the cases o
f homogeneous and inhomogeneous size distributions of the bubbles. (C)
