Abstract
Effective and selective transformations of propane, butane, cyclopenta ne, cyclohexane, methylcyclopentane and adamantane under the action of CO mediated by polyhalomethanes combined with aluminum halides (in th e presence of hydride or alkyl (aryl) group donors or without them) re sulting in esters, ketones and aldehydes are summarized.
