Abstract
The detection of the secondary in the optical spectrum of the interact ing binary V 367 Cyg is examined on the basis of new CCD observations. Based on the only visible stellar line, MgII lamda4481, no indication of the secondary's component could be found. The proposed secondary's line is due to a Fel shell line.
