Based on the ultrasonic anemometer/thermometer data in the East Antarc
tic coastal area ice sheets obtained first by Chinese scientists, turb
ulent intensity, kinetic energy and sensible heat of turbulence, surfa
ce; roughness height drag coefficient and normalized variation were ca
lculated and analysed using the eddy-correlation method. The results s
how that the values of roughness height and drag coefficient are 4.3 x
10(-4) m and 1.8 x 10(-3), respectively. These turbulent parameters h
ave apparent diurnal variations.
