Abstract
The intermolecular and intramolecular reductive coupling reactions of alpha,beta-unsaturated nitrile derivatives induced by a low-valent tit anium reagent prepared from titanium tetrachloride and zinc powder wer e studied. The configuration of cyclodimerization product was confirme d by X-ray analysis.
