Abstract
Consistency-controlled headboxes are an integral part of nearly every machine design today. Many reports have already been published about t he positive experience gained with consistency control. Therefore the question today is no longer the fundamental principle of operation but rather the prerequisites fora successful installation. This article t herefore evaluates the main influencing factors, such as scanner profi le quality, control algorithm and dimensional stability of the nozzle end area.
