Abstract
Treatment of Sn(CHR2)(2) is with the appropriate Ag-I compound in Et2O at ca. 25 degrees C yielded the heterobimetallic Sn-Ag complexes [GRA PHICS] (1) and [GRAPHICS] (2) and the oxidative adducts Sn(CHR2)(2)X-2 (X = NCO (3), I (4)). 1 (Ag-Sn = 2.598(1) Angstrom) and 3 have been c haracterized by X-ray studies, and 1 and 2 provide the first examples of Sn-119-Ag-109 and Sn-119-Ag-107 coupling in their Sn-119{H-1} NMR s pectra (R = SiMe3).
