Abstract
Poly(4-fluorophenylquinoxaline)s were prepared by polycyclocondensatio n of new ketone)s-bis(4-fluorophenylglyoxalyl)arylenes-with bis(o-phen ylenediamine)s. The effect of fluorine atoms in poly(phenylquinoxaline )s on the solubility and thermal characteristics of the resulting poly mers was studied. The possibility of using poly(4-fluorophenylquinoxal ine)s in the synthesis of polymers with substituents varying in bulkin ess and structure is discussed.
