Abstract
The regularities of the suspension polymerization of vinyl chloride in the presence of initiation systems were studied. The initiation syste ms consisted of di-2-ethylhexyl peroxydicarbonate in combination with reducing agents (such as phthalimide or alkyl betaine) and alkali meta l persulfate. The morphology of the suspension poly(vinyl chloride) wa s studied by electron microscopy. Correlation between the composition of the initiation system and the polymer grain structure was establish ed.
