Phase transitions in the poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(propylene glycol)
and poly(ethylene oxide)-poly(vinyl acetate) systems in the static sta
te and upon application of a shear stress field were studied using the
methods of turbidity points, viscometry, polarization microscopy, and
X-ray diffraction, The application of shear stress weakens the intera
ction between components, which is accompanied by an increase in the t
emperature of crystalline phase separation and is manifested by a chan
ge in the shapes of boundary curves. The concentration dependences of
the parameter of interaction between components in the polymer systems
perturbed by the mechanical field were calculated.
