Abstract
Automobile bodies are expected to contribute towards a reduction in we ight despite increasingly stringent safety and rigidity requirements. This is made possible by high-strength autobody sheet grades. To be co nsidered in this connection is that strength and formability mutually influence one another, with the result that the conventional deep-draw ing process has to be configured to suit to the pressformed part.
