Abstract
We describe a case of thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) resist ant to conventional therapy with fresh-frozen plasma (FFP)-plasma exch ange (PEX) as well as to steroids, immunoglobulins, vincristine, dipyr idamole, dextran and iloprost, achieving complete remission with cryos upernatant-plasma exchange. Our case shows the effectiveness of cryosu pernatant PEX, when FFP-PEX and alternative therapies have failed.
