Hb. Ji et al., SOURCE OF ORE-FORMING MATERIAL AND METALLOGENIC AGE OF THE ZHEBOSHAN GOLD DEPOSIT, WESTERN SICHUAN PROVINCE, CHINA, Chinese Science Bulletin, 43(8), 1998, pp. 684-690
The Zheboshan gold deposit, which is located in the ''Gold Triangle''
area on the borders of Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi provinces, is a very
complicated micro-fine disseminated gold deposit. Considering the ICP
-MS measurements and Rb and Sr isotope data, it is suggested that the
ore-forming materials may have come from the quartz-amphibole porphyri
te dykes. It is also suggested that the age of ore deposit is generall
y consistent with the age of formation of the quartz-amphibole porphyr
ite. It is further deduced that the deposit is a magmatic hydrothermal
ore deposit.
