Abstract
The traditional mind-body debate is chronically unwell. Its problems a re largely due to unwitting acceptance of four deep metaphysical assum ptions. Rejecting those assumptions leads to a pluralist conception of the ontology of mind and a correspondingly complex account of the fit between mind and world.
