Abstract
Let less than or equal to be a complete preorder on a cone K in a topo logical vector space E, and assume that 0 less than or equal to x for every x is an element of K. Necessary and sufficient conditions are gi ven for the existence of a utility function u for less than or equal t o, which is homogeneous of degree one and continuous.
