This article describes, through the use of clinical examples, how a st
aff-staff relations group functions in a brief, evening, partial-hospi
talization program, and how it differs from other groups within the pr
ogram. It further illustrates how the appropriate use of this group al
lows staff to work together harmoniously and treat patients more effec
tively. This article also compares and contrasts this method of dealin
g with staff-staff and staff-patient conflict with other approaches.
