Abstract
Within the Schrodinger electric representation, we analytically calcul ate the complete set of wave functionals obeying Gauss' law with stati c sources in a general representation of SU(2) in (1 + 1) dimensions. The effective potential is found to be linear in the distance between the sources with the string tension depending on the polarization of t he solution.
