Abstract
We propose a simple mean-field kinetic model describing the time evolu tion of the shape of a two-dimensional island formed during epitaxial deposition. The evolution calculated from our equation agrees with tha t observed experimentally. The model gives the correct equilibrium sha pe, consistent with the Wulff condition.
