Gg. Stewart, A SCANNING ELECTRON-MICROSCOPIC STUDY OF THE CLEANSING EFFECTIVENESS OF 3 IRRIGATING MODALITIES ON THE TUBULAR STRUCTURE OF DENTIN, Journal of endodontics, 24(7), 1998, pp. 485-486
This is a scanning electron microscope study of the cleaning effective
ness of three irrigating modalities on roots dentin. When hydrogen per
oxide was followed by sodium hypochlorite, it effectively cleaned the
dentinal tubules of the root. When RC-Prep was reacted with sodium hyp
ochlorite, it proved to be a more efficient irrigating method than hyd
rogen peroxide and sodium hypochlorite solution. When a new improved R
C-Prep with 15% carbanide peroxide was reacted with sodium hypochlorit
e, it proved was reacted with sodium hypochlorite, it proved to be a s
uperior cleansing method for root dentin.
