Abstract
We present a numerical study of a quartic oscillator coupled to a Nose -Hoover thermostat. The time-centered algorithm was used for integrati ng the equations of motion. The numerical simulations have shown that in this system, the ergodic behavior can be achieved only by extending the Nose-Hoover dynamics to the Bulgac-Kusnetov dynamics.
