Abstract
We calculate several ''size-like'' B-8 observables within the microsco pic three-cluster model and study their potential constraints on the z ero-energy astrophysical S-17(0) factor of the Be-7(p,gamma)B-8 reacti on. We find within our three-cluster model that a simultaneous reprodu ction of the experimental data for the B-8 radius and quadrupole momen t and of the B-8-Li-8 Coulomb displacement energy implies S-17(0) = (2 3-25) eV b.
