Abstract
Three new pinguisane-type sesquiterpenes, named grandilobalide A, B, a nd 6 -hydroxy-4,8-dimethoxycarbonyl-pinguis-11,6-olide, and a new rear ranged pinguisane-type, named grandilobalide C, together with six know n sesqui- and diterpenes, have been isolated from the liverwort Porell a grandiloba grown in the field. Their structures have been elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic evidence and chemical correlation. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
