Abstract
A new bibenzyl, 1-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-2-(3-hydroxy-4, 5-dimethoxyphenyl) -ethane, possessing similar germination inhibitory activity to batatas in III in vitro, was isolated from the leaves of Empetrum nigrum.
