Abstract
Recent experimental data on H-2(0) and H-2(+) scattering from Pd (1 1 0) and Pd (1 1 1) as well from Al (1 1 0) surfaces is analyzed in term s of the electron exchange model. The main features of dissociative sc attering of H-2(0) and H-2(+) from Pd can be explained with this model . For the H-2(+) --> Al (1 1 0) system we consider, beside the electro n capture processes For a description of the molecular survival probab ility as a function of translational energy, an additional process of dissociation: collision induced excitation of the triplet state.
