A fresh expression arrived at through the method of correlation to det
ermine the density of micro-quantity liquids in the rising drop method
has been presented. The results obtained are found to be fairly accur
ate. The method requires very small quantity (0.5 mu l) to determine t
he density of liquids lighter than as well as immiscible with water, a
nd it also enables one to retrieve and preserve the sample for further
analysis. The method is found to be simple, rapid and accurate.
