Abstract
A number of triphenyltin (IV) complexes of the general formula (Ph3Sn) (2) [ON(R)CO](2) (CH2)(n), (n = 2-4,6,8; R = C6H5 4-CH3C6H4, 4- ClC6H4 ) have been synthesized by the reactions of dihydroxamic acids and tri phenyltin chloride in presence of a Lewis base. They have been charact erized by UV, IR and H-1 NMR spectroscopy in addition to elemental ana lyses.
