Abstract
Diastereomerically pure hydroxy and thiol derivatives of (5S,7S)-5,7-m ethane-6,6-dimethyl-2-phenyl-5,6,7,8- tetrahydroquinoline were prepare d and assessed in the enantioselective addition of diethylzinc to benz aldehyde: enantioselectivities up to 62% were obtained.
