Abstract
The preparation and use of tissue carriers for processing fragile biol ogical materials from postfixation up to embedding in electron microsc opy is described. Trimmed small pieces of vibratome sections can be ve ry practically and safely transported in these carriers throughout osm ication, dehydration for long times, and infiltration up to embedding in epoxy resins. This small device is especially suited for post-embed ding immunogold electron microscopy.
