WAVE-PROPAGATION IN A GENERALIZED THERMO-MICROSTRETCH ELASTIC SOLID

In the present investigation, we have discussed the plane wave propaga tion in a generalized thermo-microstretch elastic solid. We have also discussed the reflection of the plane waves from a free surface of a g eneralized thermo-microstretch elastic solid. The reflection coefficie nts of various reflected waves with the angle of incidence for the Lor d-Shulman theory have been obtained. The variations of various reflect ed waves showing thermal and stretch effects have been shown graphical ly. Two particular cases of the problem have been deduced. (C) 1998 El sevier Science I,td.
