Abstract
We report a case of the prenatal sonographic detection of facial dupli cation. the diprosopus abnormality, in a twin pregnancy. The character istic sonographic features of the condition include duplication of eye s, mouth, nose and both mid- and anterior intracranial structures. A h eart-shaped abnormality of the cranial vault should prompt more detail ed examination for other supportive features of this rare condition. ( C) 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
