Abstract
This paper presents an inventory model for deteriorating items with in stantaneous supply, linearly increasing demand and shortages in invent ory. A three-parameter Weibull distribution is used to represent the d istribution of the lime to deterioration. The theory for finding the o ptimal solution of the problem is developed.
