Abstract
We investigated current-voltage characteristics of a few light-emittin g diodes (LEDs) of different colours, We found that only one particula r type of red LED is suitable as a light source for temperatures as lo w as at least 1.5 K, Other LEDs loose electrical conductivity between 50 and 120 K, (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd.
