Some questions of automated processing of head waves in the observatio
n systems with repeated wave overlappings are considered. Investigatio
ns on perfecting the algorithms for recalculation of head-wave fields
to dynamic time sections have been carried out. On the basis of the Vi
ner filter and dynamic relationship for head-wave spectra, a multistep
algorithm For recalculation of head wave from one recording base to a
nother has been developed. In this algorithm an accuracy increase is a
chieved by using a number of seismograms recorded in parallel on devel
oping a recalculation filter. The multistep algorithm has permitted re
calculation of head-wave field to the route of time section. The resul
ts of practical implementation of the developed algorithm to the mater
ials obtained by means of seismic survey by the refracted-wave method
are discussed. It is shown that the above wave processing increases th
e signal/noise ratio in the routes and supresses all types of waves, e
xcept for a head wave, on recording. Thus, one of the most tedious ste
ps in head-wave processing becomes automated.
