Resonant inverse photoemission (RIPES) spectra of NiS2-xSex were measu
red. Two structures are observed at about 1.6 and 2.6 eV above Fermi e
nergy. It was found that the structure at about 1.6 eV decreases its i
ntensity with the resonance. As x increases from 0.45 to 0.85, the int
ensity of the structure just above the Fermi energy increases and shif
ts close to the Fermi energy, so that the Fermi edge intensity increas
es in IPES spectra. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved
