Abstract
The magnetoresistive behaviour of granular thin films prepared by Fe-5 6 and Fe-57 ion implantation into AE thin films with fluences up to 8 x 10(16) at./cm(2) is reported. The implantation produced both small a nd large Fe clusters, with the large clusters being dominant for high fluences. A significant magnetoresistive response of the films was obt ained for fluences above 6 x 10(16) Fe/cm(2), reaching values of 1-2% at 10 K and low fields. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V.
