Abstract
The HMI (Hahn-Meitner-Institut) in Berlin changes one of the injectors of the ISL (Ionen-Strahl-Labor)-Cyclotron, as described in several pa pers before (e.g. O. Engels et al., Nucl. Instr. and Meth. B 113 (1996 ) 16). The former Tandem-injector will be replaced by a combination of an ECR-source and two VE (Variable Energy)-RFQs. The results of the s et-up as well as the first measured low level and high power rf-proper ties of the RFQs will be discussed. (C) 1998 Published by Elsevier Sci ence B.V.
