Abstract
The collective relaxation processes in antiferroelectric liquid crysta ls are investigated both theoretically and experimentally. A compariso n of results for the electro-optic and dielectric spectroscopy with a solution for the dynamical equation enables a determination of the ori gin of the relaxation processes in antiferroelectric phases.
