Abstract
Accurate value of spontaneous polarization P-S of a ferroelectric liqu id crystal was obtained using a hysteresis loop compensation, and the results of temperature dependence of P-S were well fitted to the equat ion, P-S(T)=P-0(T-C-T)(beta). Effects of experimental conditions, such as molecular alignment quality, cell thickness, frequency, impurity, on the fitting parameters, P-0, T-C and beta, were discussed.
