Abstract
The inhibition of bubble coalescence has been studied in dilute 1:1 an d 2:1 electrolyte solutions. All electrolytes studied were found to in hibit coalescence, with anions dominating the inhibition at concentrat ions below 0.01 M and cations dominating the inhibition at higher conc entrations.
