Abstract
The response function of nuclei in the quasielastic region at large mo mentum transfer (q less-than-or-equal-to 10 fm-1) is measured for a se ries of nuclei, He-4, C-12, Al-27, Fe-56, and Au-197, up to large valu es of the Bjorken scaling variable x < 2.5.
