Abstract
Polycrystalline PbZrO3-PbTiO3 + 2.5mol% La2O3 was prepared by hot pres sing. The electrical and electromechanical properties of grain-oriente d samples were measured. The permittivity and thermally stimulated cur rent anisotropies between the parallel and perpendicular direction to the hot pressing axis were studied. The perpendicular sample shows a g reater electromechanical coupling factor than that of the parallel sam ple. On the other hand, the dielectric losses are greater in the secon d case. These anisotropies are higher than those of other ferroelectri c ceramics reported using the same preparation technique.
