Abstract
The radioactivity of neutron-deficient platinum isotopes Pt-177-181 wa s studied after the production in Nd-146(Ar-36,xn) and Nd-148(Ar-36,xn ) reactions. The beta-decay branches were identified by the detection of gamma transitions in the iridium daughter nuclei. We report gamma r ays, gammagamma coincidences, and half-lives. Ground and excited state s are discussed in terms of the single-particle structure in deformed nuclei and new results are presented for the systematics of the intrud er h9/2 band and d3/2 states in iridium.
