Abstract
The kinetics of polymerization of methyl methacrylate were studied wit h the Mn(acac)(3)-AlEt2Br and Mn(acac)(3)-ZnEt2 catalyst systems in be nzene at 40 degrees C. Kinetic studies were carried out at the optimum catalyst compositions of Al/Mn = 2 and Zn/Mn = 5. A radical mechanism is proposed on the basis of the structure of the polymer and (M) over bar(w)/(M) over bar(n) values. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rig hts reserved.
