The stable method of solving inverse problems in heat transfer and inv
erse problems concerning thermal stress control in elements of complex
shapes is presented. Based on the discrete form of Duhamel's integral
and on so-called future time steps, a simple and accurate method of s
olving one- and multi-dimensional inverse problems is developed. Two e
xamples illustrating the application of the described method are prese
nted.
