Abstract
The preparation of metal complexes with ethylthioureido)phenylmethylam ino]-3-methylbutyric acid methyl ester, Hetv, or ine-4-carbothioylimin o)phenylmethyl]amino}-butyric acid methyl ester, Hmtv, has been achiev ed. The complexes obtained with formulae of Ni(etv)(2), Cu(mtv)(2).2H( 2)O and Pt(Hmtv)Cl-2, were studied and characterized by elemental anal ysis, electrical conductivity in solution, IR and UV-VIS spectra, FAB and electron impact (EI) mass spectrometry, H-1- and C-13-NMR, ESR, m agnetic susceptibility, atomic absorption spectrometry and thermal ana lysis. Their antifungal activity was studied against the plant pathoge nic fungi Colletotrichum fragariae, Rhizoctonia solani and Phoma betae . (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Inc. All rights reserved.
