Abstract
Ultrahigh molecular weight polyacrylamides (PAAM) were obtained by pla sma-induced polymerization in water solutions. The influence of monome r concentration, sealing pressure, initiation time and post polymeriza tion period on polymer yield and molecular weight were investigated. T he viscosity and ''screen factor'' measurements, as well as the therma lly stimulated depolarization currents spectroscopic data of the synth esized polymers, indicate good properties as efficient viscosity modif iers in displacement of fluids for enhance oil recovery (EOR).
