Abstract
The treatment of the monoarylated azafullerenes ArC59N with iodine mon ochloride in carbon disulfide leads to the exclusive formation of the tetrachlorinated heterofullerenes Cl4ArC59N which contain a pyrrole mo iety in the fullerene cage.
