J. Motonaka et al., DETERMINATION OF IRON-ION UTILIZING POLY (P-VINYLBENZOYLACETONE) MODIFIED MICROELECTRODE, Analytica chimica acta, 369(1-2), 1998, pp. 87-92
A porous micro-electrode with immobilized poly (p-vinylbenzoylacetone)
(PVBA) was developed for measuring iron ion. A porous carbon material
was packed into the tip of the platinum micro-electrode with a cavity
at the top. The porous microelectrode was dipped in the coating tetra
hydrofuran solution with PVBA and di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate and dried
overnight at room temperature. Calibration curve for the measurement o
f iron, the effects of preconcentration condition, scan rate, pH, and
temperature, and lifetime of the PVBA modified micro-electrode were ex
amined. Under optimal conditions, the response of the sensor was linea
r in the concentration range of 0.01-1 mM for iron ion. (C) 1998 Elsev
