Abstract
The enthalpies of formation (Delta H(f)degrees) for 23 halosubstituted radicals were determined from the published data on bond dissociation energies. The Delta H(f)degrees values of the corresponding molecules necessary for the calculation of Delta H(f)degrees of the radicals we re taken from handbooks or calculated by the additive-group method. Th e conjugation energies of the radicals are calculated, and the effect of substituents at the pi-system on these values was shown. Errors of determination of the Delta H(f)degrees values of the radicals were est imated.
