H. Tomioka et al., ELECTRICAL-RESISTIVITY OF HIGH-PURITY CHROMIUM SINGLE-CRYSTAL, Physica status solidi. a, Applied research, 167(2), 1998, pp. 443-448
This paper reports the results of a study of high purity chromium sing
le crystal electric resistivity. The chromium single crystal used in t
his study was produced from commercially available 5N electrolytic chr
omium. The gaseous impurity level improved during single crystal produ
ction. The crystal structure was investigated by means of the Laue met
hod and the sample was confirmed to be a single crystal. The single cr
ystal was carefully cut into a rectangular bar in preparation for the
resistivity measurement. The electrical resistivity was measured for t
he [100], [111] and [110] crystal orientations utilizing the four-prob
e method. One measurement indicated 1.08 x 10(-7) Omega m at [100] at
20 degrees C; that is less than the previously reported pure chromium
resistivity of 1.25 x 10(-7) Omega m.
